Our New Eco Billboard!
![The Three R’s The three R’s stand for: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Reducing means to not throw out everything that is useless. Maybe your friend would want it or a family member. You don’t have to throw everything out. Reusing means using something more than one or two times. When their is something that is useless there is also something called D.I.Y. D.I.Y. stands for: do it yourself. You can use anything that is lying around your house EX: cardboard, string, plastic and you can turn that into lots of things. Finally Recycling. Recycling stands for throwing out something but other people can still reuse it. Think of a doorbell that is metal. If you “recycle” that it can be melted down and made into something else. Raising Awareness This month, the Grade 6 classes drew a poster about the three R’s. It was for a challenge at Walmart. If you won you’d get $1000 for ECO initiatives. The challenge was for raising awareness. The pictures explained the three R’s, saving energy, Earth day etc. Lots of pictures were great and saying important messages. Keep spreading awareness.](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/a4f08f_0903d5785bb54c1cb0e1035d632a39ba~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_551,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/a4f08f_0903d5785bb54c1cb0e1035d632a39ba~mv2.jpg)
